Uhhhh, holy shit Vermithor aka "Bronze Fury" is like prime Tyson. That boy going to fuck some shit up.
I welcome both the entrance of the northerners and more dragon scenes as the pace of this show could pick up just a bit. I'm also done with these flashback dreams.
I have seen some complaints online about there being "no one to root for" in this series and, while I disagree with that, it is pretty scattered....lots of people, none seem like main characters nor top-notch villains. I might be too hard on the show right now though. I'm totally onboard for more.
My biggest quibble with last night's episode (other than Allicent's walk in the park being boring) was that obviously Hugh and Ulf were going to be the two who survived that whole thing.
I was curious and at one point HBO had said they anticipated this being a 4 season show, so we are almost halfway done.
Here's the thing with Allicent.....they are acting like she is some major force in the show and that she will come back from this walk in the woods to be a game changer.
In reality, her dad snuck her into a marriage with the king, literally none of her children listen to a word she says, she was bullied out of the council, and her only potential force is Christian Cole who is overwhelmed.
Isn't it a little racist to call it Black Friday? - Joy Behar
finally caught up, that season finale was... underwhelming.
Also to continue on UEM's thing about Allicent, I guess the whole point of the season was to show she's been increasingly sidelined so she can roar back next season or whatever. If she doesn't, then leave her be because her stuff is just not compelling TV right now. And her last meeting with Rhaenyra was similarly pointless (outside of the, "really how are people getting here and there?" practicalities) unless it's to highlight that she's just powerless and wants to be done with it all but she's trapped... but we already knew that and there had been and were better ways to show that.
I dunno, 2nd half of the season was a bit of a slog.
