SOME conferences have been playing football for well over a month now. Our Wolfpack was looking pretty good until our QB broke his ankle in last week's contest. Probably looking at 6-5 now instead of at least 8-3. Glad we don't have to play big bad Clemson this year!
Looking like Clemson and then everyone else. UNC showed they were fraudulous against FSU. ND is probably fraudulous as well.
Long Dick's VT squad looks solid though now that they've solved their COVID issues.

To me it looks like: 1) Clemson (Gap) 2) Alabama 3) Ohio St maybe/probably (Gap) 4) Everybody else. So basically the same as the last five years or so.
ND is not the third best team in the Country despite their ranking. I'd say there are somewhere in the #11 - #15 range in reality. Strong D and great offensive line/running game. The 3 year starter at Qb has struggled way more than he should have. They have gotten nothing from their wide receivers this year. Tight End has some players but the passing game overall has been really bad. They probably get by Pitt and Georgia Tech the next two weeks to set you the undefeated showdown with Clemson in Sound Bend on Nov. 7th. But they will be exposed then.
Guess I'll be hanging out in this ACC thread this year.

AHEM. I’m #11 in the country tyvm.
Oh yeah, look at you!
That UNC/FSU result...OOF. UNC steamrolled us this week-end. When they're clicking they're hard to stop.

Trev got the coco...I think they tested him yesterday so he will be ineligible for ND (10 day ineligibility). Unfortunately their backup is a cam/tebow clone and I think he will also easily mop the floor with the Irish.

Don’t get caught looking ahead, Clemson. Big game this week.

There seems to be a sentiment that he can still play against the Irish. My twitter timeline which is a lot of ND beat writers and college football people in general was full of people trying to determine the whole 10 days out rule that the ACC has.
Their backup was I believe the #1 QB in the country last year, but is a true freshman and has struggled so far when he's gotten in. ND has a pretty good defense, they've given up less then 10 points per game against weaker competition, but Clemson still has Etienne and a million other weapons and strong defense themselves. Clemson still will be favored by a couple touchdowns, but it does make it interesting.
Players and coaches have tested positive, games have been postponed and canceled. Yet nothing has made anyone reconsider whether they should be playing. This has all been nothing more than a great annoyance to teams and fans
Positive tests have been met with nothing but skepticism and a look at the calendar. Was it a false positive? When can he return? If a player tests positive on Sunday, when can he play again? Will the coach be on the sideline? Can the quarterback fly private on the day of the game to join his team by kickoff?
In fairness, there seems to be a lot of false positives
Ignoring how he's feeling now, or the possible long-term effects, will he be available next weekend?
It does seem that a lot of players in all sports have returned quickly with seemingly no issues.
The only real question is whether or not the nerds and doctors and killjoys will clear him to play in 10 days when ACC rules say he can return? Anyone who argued they were playing college football because it was safe was either lying to themselves or outright lying. There are no worries about the unknown. The only second-guessing is directed at the tests. The only thing that matters is playing football. Just wait and see how far we take this.
We don't know where he got it, and could have just as easily got it even if he wasn't playing football. This guy should quit covering sports if he believes what he is writing.

I just noticed Ruffin McNeill is "special assistant" to Doeren this year at NCST. Suddenly understand how their offense got better. Flush you should just turn the whole thing over to him, get on it.
