It's vortex szn. Last year on the ballot for Bonds, Clemens, Sosa, and Schilling. None of them will get in because holier than thou old white guys won't let us have nice things. Of the first year guys, A Rod and Ortiz are the only ones who feel like HOFers at first glance IMHO.
Ortiz will get in (maybe not first ballot but if I had to bet on it I'd say yes) and a bunch of people will cry about him being a DH and probably even accuse him of steroids.
A Rod will be kind of an interesting case. Clearly tied up with all the steroid stuff as much many of the other guys who haven't gotten in before him, but he seems downright likable in his post-playing days (even if people think he sucks as a broadcaster), and just having that good image now could be enough to get some of these hypocrites to vote for him even though they won't vote for Bonds and Clemens.
