Looks like cultural appropriation to me.

I’m thinking of rewatching The Wire. Idk.

I’m kinda over tv and absolutely over movies. I doubt I could get thru 5 minutes of any movie outside of like 5 that I know I liked before. AP2, 25th Hour, maybe AP1, and American Beauty.

Yeah. I watched Wire somewhat recently too, I think late 2020 maybe? I forget. It’s too soon to rewatch but someone said something about Idris Elba somewhere and it made me want to watch.

When I re-up for HBO Max for awhile, the We Own This City show and finishing the Lakers show are absolutely the top 2 priorities.

I started this, got thru about half of ep 1.  So far it is awesome. Basically The Wire. Even has Poot and Marlo!

I did not know this show existed til you posted about it. They need to get the word out. I watch Maher and its never in the quick HBO review of new shows before BM starts. 

I am through 3 episodes.    I am enjoying it, but there are so many plots and characters it is really difficult to follow everything and the plot sort of meanders because of it.  The use of so many flash back scenes makes it difficult to follow as well.   I understand why they have to do it because of the length of the story

The guy who plays Wayne Jenkins is great.   So far it is almost like they didn't need both him and Josh Charles.   Maybe that changes in the end.

They have a lot to cover in the remaining 3 episodes.
