I was watching this show called Industry. It's a British show about an investment bank. It's OK, I guess. In like the 2nd episode, one of the characters takes a load on his chest out of nowhere. They didn't even establish that he was gay. I've never seen that on TV before. it's not TV, it's HBO. I wonder what the props people used.
I finally started westworld. This show is wild! I look forward to being disappointed in the ending eventually /me as kite as me
Please don't forget to nitpick wildly ridiculous plot holes in this science fiction fantasy show, and then gain cred by saying how much better the movie was. That'll track.

hello, i have begun to pick nits. i think i'm 8 eps into season 1. i do not like that the black guy who plays a bit part in every movie ever made is a Host. that was cheesy. i am concerned that the maze is a JJ Abrams special like the hatch code and it's going to be a big red herring. there are too many concurrent plots. thandie newton's nipples are too puffy. this show has another "Lost" habit where it will leave a plotline in a cliffhanger and then just...go somewhere else for 2 episodes. the hell is going on with the tech girl that got kidnapped in the basement? i assume bit part black guy did it without knowing it since he's a host (and apparently did nothing when he checked her status and found she was off the grid) but can we confirm please? Dolores & William is a boring as fuck story...i assume they're going to eventually meet up at the maze with Teddy and the man in black, but they need to hurry it up, they're a snoozer (i did not realize Ed Harris's official character name is the man in black, i'm sure that's a 'western' nod but with Abrams and all this Lost stuff it's another worrisome note for how this is going to wrap up)
Here are the things that i very much like:
-Ed Harris, all of it, whenever he's on screen this show is awesome -Anthony Hopkins heel turn, he went from kindly grandpa to hannibal lecter in 30 minutes -Tessa Thompson, hachi machi -the old cowboy robot that Hopkins is always chatting with. i wonder if that guy is moving like that on his own or they're editing the video to make it look glitchy. anyway, it's cool. -El Lazo saves a lot of the scenes with Dolores & William. Sort of wish Ed Harris had kept him around as his traveling buddy instead of switching to Teddy.
That is my partial season review of a show that was released in 2016.
At the behest of Southern Yokel again, I almost got thru The Flight Attendant. I have 1 ep left. I got hooked in episode 1 and now I am annoyed by it bc theres to many deep layers idc about. Its ok.
Binged through "I'll Be Gone in the Dark" over the last few days.
All that I knew going in was that Patton Oswalt's wife had somehow found a serial killer in California. That's not exactly correct but once narratives are built, we roll with them.
The interesting part about the entire series was that the first four episodes basically played it straight - good vs evil. Then the last two episodes reveal Patton's wife as a drug addict who killed herself accidentally while also (sort of) making excuses for the killer.
Interesting ride.

Is this a documentary about Patton's dead wife? Or a work of fiction starring his current wife? I feel like I remember a story about his first wife being involved in solving a serial killer case, so I assume the former. I could probably look this up.

Former wife catching the serial killer / rapist. It's good.

Anyone seen “The Undoing”? Murder mystery in NYC starring Nicole Kidman, High Jackman, and some smoke show young brunette with perfect tits. Wife and I watched the first 2 eps tonight. Reminds me of that other Kidman HBO jawn - a bunch of rich cunts get tied up in a murder investigation, drama ensues. I’m enjoying it so far. Some absolutely awesome nudity in the first ep. Did I mention my mom watched it with us? That was fun. Anyway, seems like a solid show. I think some of you would like it. Bonus points for the main family having the same last name as Magnum’s favorite actor.
Also I have a take that might not make sense, but here goes. Nicole Kidman is like... perfect by the standard definition of attractiveness. Nice tits, narrow shoulders, a perfectly symmetrical face with flawless skin. But I don’t find her hot. Like, at all. What the fuck is up with that?
