I don't recall all the specifics, but IIRC she has been labeled a TERF because some British broad got fired for saying there are 2 genders, and Rowling said she shouldn't have gotten fired for that.

Hello, i am the last person on earth to watch True Detective season 1.  I have some thoughts (i think i have 3 eps left)

1. yeah, alexandra daddario is incredible looking.  it's very weird having my point of reference for her being the Percy Jackson movie.  
2. both mccaughnahey and harrelson do a really good job.  
3. i love the mullet philosophy lessons
4. this was a very fruitful show for gifs.  daddario, the flat circle one, the smashing a can one, and mccaughnehey taking the mega huff of a cigarette which i did not realize was mccaughnehey the 1000 times i saw it online before seeing it in the show*.  
5. the flash forward to harrelson's teenage daughter being A) Starlight and B) a whore was very funny to me
6. honestly don't really know where this is going with 3 eps left other than apparently yellow king guy is going to be too well connected and Mccaughnahey is going to go after him anyway and get punted and set up.

Believe me when i tell you i said "holy shit that was him??" when it happened on my tv.  

I saw a recent Barstool article mentioning this as perhaps the greatest single season for any TV show in history.

Imma have to rewatch, it was great.
