MLB is doing City Connect uniforms like the NBA.   The Red Sox are the first ones to release theirs:



Like the team, these uniforms stink.  

ETA: If they're only wearing these for the MONDAY game, I'm OK with the cross-promotion.  As a MAWG, I maintain my stance that all the time and money that goes into uniform design to get children and one 47 year old excited for a couple minutes is just so so gay.  But I can get behind the marathon color scheme if it's just a one time (or once a year) thing.

I watched the end of the Red Sox game last night.  Pretty entertaining.   Some observations:

1.    The rule that a runner starts on second in an extra inning is so stupid.   It is supposed to shorten games, but it is so easy to score with a runner on second with no outs.     I hate it.

2.   Is outfield play worse than it was 10 or 20 years ago.  Arozarena looked like a bad little leaguer misplaying that ball to give the Sox the win.

3.   It is even weirder seeing Fenway with just a smattering of fans instead of no fans.

Manfred continues to be the absolute worst commissioner in sports

Bettman's better than people want to give credit for.  Goodell sucks but he's getting the owners all the idiotic changes they want like expanded playoffs and a 17 game season.

The lost season sucked but hockey's come out of it better suited for long-term

Goodell doing what the owners tell him is part of why I leave him as not the worst (2nd worst!).  They want this shit that is not going to help the league/players long-term.  Not really his fault/doing.  I'll go out there and push for this for $45 mil a year or whatever insane amount he makes.

His disciplining and inconsistency, the Ray Rice debacle, the handling of Spygate, etc. were all horrible and his own fault.

Manfred is a fucking child throwing whatever at the wall because he thinks it might look cool and 99% of it sucks and is stupid and is ruining the game short-term and long-term.  Fuck him.
