Ogie stopped trolling the Bruins? That's disappointing.
He was on fire last night, believe it or not. But I was too irritated to fully appreciate his work.
This was really the most I've been "into" any sports team in years. I watched probably 65 or so regular season games, and last night was the most miserable I've ben over a sporting event since that stupid Super Bowl I went to. Congrats to Ogie, I guess.

I heard everything said about the President's Trophy curse, blah blah blah, but I really, really hoped that their experience would help them focus and buck that trend, but instead it looks like they felt every bit of the pressure. What a fucking gag job.

Yeah it was absolutely brutal. They were just so experienced and so deep at every position. I was prepared to admit that a team like Edmonton or Vegas or Colorado could certainly beat them in the Final (is it Final or Finalzz? /Freckles) and maybe someone like the Devils could get hot at the right time and knock them off before that, but losing in the first round was just never even a consideration.
Since the turn of the century, Boston's professional sports teams have won 12 championships: six by the Patriots (Super Bowls XXXVI (2001), XXXVIII (2003), XXXIX (2004), XLIX (2014), LI (2016), and LIII (2018)), four by the Red Sox (2004, 2007, 2013, and 2018) and one each by the Celtics and the Bruins

Thank you. We know.

The point is that you have to have realistic high expectations to have true heartbreak. You wouldn't get it.
And yes, I'm aware of how much of an asshole we sound like for saying shit like that. And no, it has nothing to do with being from Boston like people pretend. Every fan base that's ever been good for any extened period becomes a bunch of insufferable jackoffs and the whole country roots against them until they stop being good.
