First opponent: Manor Mustangs (formerly known as the Wilson Presidents) Last meeting: 2019 opener, our first game at the school, Lost to them 28-22.
They have a new coach who was just hired about 7 weeks ago which should play to our advantage. They look not great on film. In fact, they look like us in 2019.
If we play to our potential, I think that we can notch a solid victory.
Of course, starting right tackle went on family vacation to Myrtle Beach this week, so..................
Offensive game plan is to get outside with the run, use motion to gain numbers advantage.
I think that this play will hit big

We were picked to win by both newspaper experts in a nailbiter.
Dominated the first half pretty well leading 19-6 at the break. We were three and out on the first drive due to a mishandled snap and then a penalty, but scored on our next three drives. Really ran the ball well.
Right before the end of the half, we were on their 25 and called a play that moved the safety with motion, then we were going to throw back side to either the WR or the RB coming out of the backfield on a wheel route. Send slot in motion, safety moved, WR beats his guy by five yards. But, for some reason, the QB went front side post RIGHT WHERE WE MOVED THE SAFETY, which resulted in a tipped ball interception. Should have lead 26-6 at the break.
Still, we were in a good spot.
They scored. 19-12 now.
We respond, to go up 25-12.
They hit a 40-yard pass on first play of next drive to our red zone. Then, QB scramble and CB decides to leave his man resulting in wide open pass to end zone. 25-20, our lead.
Mishandled snap leads to 20-yard loss, we punt.
They drive to our 3 but fumble in the end zone, we recover.
Drive 80 for another tud, up 31-20.
We get them to 3rd and 10, but QB scrambles and three missed tackles later, he goes 65 yards for a score. 31-26, us.
They onside kick and recover. Roughly four-five minutes left in game. Three plays later, they hit a big run for a score and now lead 34-31.
We drive to their 36 where we face 4th and 5. Hit a slant route for a touchdown and take the lead again 37-34.
Opening play of their next drive, screen pass, missed tackles, 55-yard touchdown. They lead 40-37.
We start around midfield, hit a bomb down the sidelines and score three plays later to make it 43-40 with under two minutes to play.
We get pressure but their kid scrambles left and, believe it or not, our secondary leaves their man AGAIN so QB bombs it to wide open receiver who scores to make it 46-43 with about a minute to go.
Starting on their 47, we get a 15-yard penalty to their 38 followed by a scramble to their 22. Last play of the game, interception.
Game over.
We lose 46-43.
Rushed for 282 yards, threw for 177, taotaling 459 yards on 61 plays (7.5 per play).
Leading rusher had 108, next guy had 93, and third guy had 77.
QB (who rushed for 93) also threw for 177 with three tuds.
Leading WR caught 3 for 136 and two TDs.
I'd rather lose another state title game than lose like that again.
Brutal.
Next up is Southampton in the Battle of 58.
They are a school the same size as us with same demographics. They've been shut down for a bit with quarantine and they look basic af on film.
Can we get our first win after 15 straight losses at this school?

that loss sounds almost Madden-esque
It really does. Solid defense by both teams down the stretch, with only 32 total points in the last 5 minutes.
Ts UEM, that sounds like a rough loss. Hope next week goes better.
