My prediction: None of the P5 schools makes it out unscathed. Cincy does and misses the playoffs. Coastal does and misses the playoffs.
The playoffs still wind up being Bama, Georgia, tOSU and OU.
Coastal is so overrated. Wake is lucky to still be undefeated. But I think Cincy makes it to the play-offs.
Yeah, I sort of contradicted myself in that post because I think in my situation of Cincy missing out, OU has to run the table. If OU goes undefeated and it's a 1 loss Bama, a 1 loss Georgia (losing to Bama in the SEC Chip game) and a 1 loss tOSU (especially if it's a win over an undefeated Iowa in the B1G chip game)...I think Cincy is outside.

So in this scenario Georgia makes it to the SEC championship undefeated and loses to one loss Alabama. I agree they both get in if that's the case. A one loss winner of the B1G absolutely deserves to get in this year and it probably will be tOSU. Where I think I disagree is Oklahoma. If they lose its going to be to an unranked team or in late November to Iowa St. or OK st. I can see that being enough to keep them out and getting an undefeated Cincinnati in. I think there is enough momentum to get a group of 5 team in and if Cincinnati is #2 or #3 in the AP and coaches at the end of the year, I can see the committee putting them in.

Yeah, that was where my course correction came from above. I agree, a 1 loss ACC, Big 12 or Pac 12 championship team isn't getting in over Cincy this year.
What are we thinking when the first College Football playoff rankings come out tonight?
My guess:
1) Georgia 2) Oklahoma 3) Michigan St. 4) Cincinnati 5) Alabama 6) Oregon 7) Ohio St. 8) Wake Forest 9) Michigan 10) Notre Dame
That seems about right. Maybe flip MSU and OU and I can absolutely see Cincinnati being left outside the top four in favor of Alabama. I think Ohio State might get the nod over Oregon as well.
Your both probably right, MSU has a better win and better overall resume than Oklahoma, so they'll probably be #2. I think Oregon will get the nod over Ohio St. given the head to head win at Ohio St. The intrigue obviously is where the committee puts Cinncy, but I'm also curious to see what they do with unbeaten Wake.

Wake's only got a couple more weeks of being ranked in the top 10 so FTI

If Wake Forest makes the playoff before Tech then well i--i---i---I'll...continue being a miserable cunt who hates football

Wake hasn't played anyone of note yet--and they barely beat Cuse and Louisville. Let's see if they can get through the next three weeks (UNC, NC State, Clemson) unscathed.
