All this Gameday guest picker stuff supports my point in the shoutbox. College football is one giant TV show. This stuff is just window dressing to make you all talk about it more.
Of course it is. And in both CFB and the NFL, the sport itself provides plenty of entertainment in its own way. IMHO college is much more of a "production" with all the stuff that's not the sport. Obviously it's a good thing to make your product as entertaining as possible, so I'm not saying that necessarily as a knock or even as the reason I don't watch it. I just feel that all the "extra" in college is an intentional distraction just to keep all you lunatics talking about the games when they're not happening. Good for them and good for you, I guess. But I can't get into it.
