Saw Oppenheimer finally. Watched it basically in hour chunks Fri-Sat-Sun night.
Really enjoyed it. Murphy should win Best Actor, I saw definitively having not seen any of the other nominees. Same with Downey. I was surprised that Blunt was nominated, I guess she did some stuff at the end of the movie but otherwise was just kind of there.
Didn't expect Josh Hartnett to play such a huge role. He was pretty good! My girlfriend at the time in the early 2000s LOVED him so I think I saw every one of his movies around then. 40 Days and 40 Nights, underrated.
Florence Pugh has one of the weirdest hot woman bodies of all time.
That film is just coming out? I thought it was out last year when that guy hosted SNL. I like his sister. She’s a normal looking girl with huge knockers. She’s not “hot” like he “is”.
Watched Fury the last few days on Netflix. Enjoyed for the most part. Some definite slow parts but the last hour or so was tremendous. Would recommend.

I watched Ricky Stanicky on Prime. I thought it was pretty good. Most of the relationship stuff was stupid and forced. Zac Efrons black wife is hot. Cena kills the whole time.
this was a Peter Farrelly movie. Wha happen to his bro

The Trinity scene was awesome.
We watched this Saturday night in one sitting. Didn't really drag at any point so it didn't feel like a 3-hour movie.
I'll echo everything you said here. The buildup and execution of the Trinity test is fantastic. Glad Murphy and Downey won for their work in addition to the movie and Nolan's wins. Surprised Nolan hadn't won before now tbh.

I watched this the past 2 nights. The first night about 2 hour and 15 minutes, and the last 45 minutes last night. I thought it was pretty good. The performances were great. I think I liked it a little less than 79 and Flush. I would have liked to seen it in a theater.

I just watched this. I agree with everything you said, except IMHO it’s better than pretty good. Maybe I’ve lowered my standards because no one makes good comedies anymore, but I thoroughly enjoyed this. Are movies back?
Im trying not to overly focus on this shit, but I can’t help but notice how they force diversity into everything. Efron is married to a black (who I agree is hot) and also her cousin is white; the black friend is gay and also in a mixed-race relationship; the board of this old-school New England investment firm is like half black chicks, plus a lady in a wheelchair with T-Rex arms; the head of the S.F. company is a midget. Like, we get it guys; representation is cool. I know I can ignore it, but it’s a bit much.
Anyway, don’t worry about all that dumb shit. This movie is really funny and you should watch it.

remember when PJ would point this out a year or two ago as part of the agenda and some people would say you are crazy! Look where we are now.
Is it possible Farrelly is making fun of the whole thing?
I hadn’t thought of that, but you might be onto something. If he’s willing to make an actually funny comedy full of dick jokes and stuff in 2024, then the rest of it just may be a joke too.
