I caught most of Pitch Perfect 2 on cable over the weekend. I’m not sure I’d ever seen this before, tbh. It’s not as good as the first one, but it’s downright watchable. Good talk.
Took the oldest two to see Five Nights at Freddy's yesterday. Now, of course we have Peacock so we could have watched it for free in the comfort of our home but why do that when you can watch it with other weirdo strangers?
Anyway, it was better than I expected. The whole "cursed Chuck E Cheese" works pretty well as a horror set up, the actors are mostly decent except the aunt who is ridiculous. Good to see Matthew Lillard in stuff. Always have enjoyed that guy.
So my kids are 11 and 9, they've played the games, they watched Youtube of it....my middle kid only made it about halfway through before he was too scared. Luckily my wife and youngest were watching another movie in the next theater over so I just brought him in there. The oldest loved it, though.

The aunt I believe was played by an unrecognizable Mary Stuart Masterson
my two weren’t happy with it, we watched it at home for free. Not their words but the movie wasn’t a faithful adaptation of the games. I did tell them that if Vanessa wanted to date their dad, I would drop my kids in a heartbeat and run off with her.
I don't think I realized that movie was supposed to be for kids, tbh. Yesterday at hockey that little shit Logan asked if we had seen it. We have not. Cool post.

She plays a cop on the recent Jack Reacher show on Amazon too. She's insanely hot. She may or may not have a shower scene in Reacher.
Wow that was MSM? Her son Danny's trial must have been rough on her.
I don't think it's really "for" kids but it's PG-13 and the game is definitely popular with kids.
Made $130 million worldwide for a movie that was available on streaming. Crazy.
Oh I should mention that I watched They Live over the weekend since I saw they did it on The Rewatchables. Not sure if I've ever seen the whole thing, had vague recollection of it from seeing it when I was younger. Pretty decent actually...Piper should have probably been able to have a better career. The main actress's eyes are unsettling.

Yeah, it's a solid flick. Also a top five Keith David performance.
