Seen any good movies recently?

I watch TWO films over the weekend.

Bad Boys For Life. Great film. Martin Lawrence plays the uptight pal, it’s weird.

Boyz in Da Hood. It’s good. A little telegraphed. I’ve seen it about 40x.

My wife selected a film this weekend called Your Place or Mine. This is a Netflix romcom so I had the lowest of low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. None of you should go out of your way to watch this, but if you want brownie points for watching something with your wife, it's really not terrible. It's Ashton Kutcher and Reese Witherspoon in your typical "will they or won't they" romcom formula and there's nothing particularly "good" about it, but as far as chick movies go it's watchable. Easily a top-2 Netflix original film IMHO.

Maybe about a year ago I tried to watch Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.   It didn't capture me after about 15 minutes.   I decided to give it another shot.    It is fine.   There is a lot of wasted time in scenes.   There is a lot of driving around.   They do have a scene in bsmb-famous Musso and Frank's.

Brad Pitt seems a lot like his Billy Beane character.  It was sort of distracting.

I don't understand why people would think this is a great movie.  

i was up til 4 AM for no reason on Friday into Sat AM. I watched Orphan 2 on one of the streamings.

It was fine. Absurd plot, even by dumb movie standards.

No but its still pretty watchable. The girl looks a bit more adult now IRL so its tougher to pull off.
