I'll give him the benefit of the doubt that the "I drive a Tesla" thing was supposed to be a joke and he was trying to poke a bit of fun of himself with that line. But the tone of the whole thing is just the typical "Why can't you poors make these important virtuous sacrifices like I do?" that we're all accustomed to hearing from these people now.
It was the same thing with the pandemic. So many rich journalists were saying, "Everyone just needs to stay home and work from home."

After I took this s/s, Bruce Springsteen performed, and it was.....weird. It was some upbeat bullshit song, seemed like holiday music. And he was super into it. For some reason, I thought......i dont know. I thought this guy was some legend that wouldnt be overtanned in earrings, with hair dye and hair filler, bopping around stage to some dorky pop song on Fallon.
I wasnt a fan anyway, but this made me respect him a smidge less. The guy is like 73...why behave like this?
