After I took this s/s, Bruce Springsteen performed, and it was.....weird. It was some upbeat bullshit song, seemed like holiday music. And he was super into it. For some reason, I thought......i dont know. I thought this guy was some legend that wouldnt be overtanned in earrings, with hair dye and hair filler, bopping around stage to some dorky pop song on Fallon.
I wasnt a fan anyway, but this made me respect him a smidge less. The guy is like 73...why behave like this?

Springsteen's new album is covers from 60's and 70's soul songs. It is sort of an odd choice. I have only heard a few of the songs. They are fine, but not his normal stuff.
I don't think letterman ever did this kind of corny stuff. At some point comedy especially on the networks just changed.
I think ldot has used this term and I have seen others use it, but these shows are going for clapter now and not actual laughs. They just want the audience to applaud to their liberal statements pretending to be jokes.
