This is mostly for wolf and mags... A buddy from high school is a partner in a new brewery in Windsor dudleytownbrewing.com/ I went there last week and the location is awesome, really nice layout with a HUGE outdoor patio in back. The beer was good, but as a dark beer guy, they only had one that was in my wheelhouse. I chatted with my "buddy" (we hung in the same crowd in high school, but were never really tight), he said they will be ramping up more dark beers and stouts as the weather gets colder. Also there is supposed to be a nice restaurant coming soon, but for now they have food trucks.
Looks like a pretty great spot. I’ll keep it in mind to check out. Do they distribute at all or is it brewery only?
I didn't ask about distribution, my guess is that they will eventually. Obviously they sell aluminum cylinders to go at the brewery. I had the Czech dark lager which was pretty tasty, but they didn't have any aluminum cylinders of that. I went with 2 friends that are both IPA guys and they both bought a 4-pack to go (I don't know which brew).
Our distributor who deals with Bells apparently missed the deadline and we're not getting this year's Hopslam. It's not my absolute favorite by any means, but you want to be my goon beer distributor and you drop the ball on something like Hopslam? SMH.

Full-strength beer will be banned for England's opening Euros game against Serbia with fans served weaker German shandy, it is reported today.
The move comes as authorities in Germany, where the major football tournament is being held, fear clashes between England fans and violent Serbian 'Ultras'. German police fear the Serbian hooligans are planning to clash with drink-fuelled England supporters and so are banning strong lager from the game. It is thought around 40,000 England fans will be at the game and 8,000 Serbs, who will be joined by others from Germany's Serbian communities.
I’ve noticed that even the local craft beers in TX are sold in 6 packs of 12-Oz c-words. At home all the “goony” stuff is always 4 packs of 16-Oz vessels. And now I don’t know which one is more common.
Obviously all the mass-produced national stuff is mostly in 12-Oz receptacles, but I’ve come to expect that good beer is typically sold in pints. That seems to be the case throughout the northeast, but I’m curious if we’re the exception or if Texas is. What say you?
I’ve noticed more goon beers switching to 6 packs of 12 oz aluminum cylinders. My last few times in Illinois have only turned up 12 oz aluminum cylinders for my favorite beer (Daisy Cutter). I assume this is driven by the market but I much prefer 4 packs of 16 oz aluminum cylinders myself for my goon beers.

TY for your thoughts. I also prefer the 16 Oz 4-packs.
First candidate to run on a platform of “6 packs of 16 Oz aluminum cylinders for everyone” gets my vote.
