As I stated previously when mj called for the woman to be fired, I don't agree with this reaction. My buddy Ben Dreyfuss had a long Twitter thread about it this weekend, saying that this is basically what cancel culture is so if conservatives are so against cancel culture then they shouldn't want these people to lose their jobs. They tried to do something that really shouldn't have made a difference to their bottom line, and the only reason it ended up costing them money is that retards got fake outraged about it and boycotted. They lost their jobs because Kid Rock sicced a Twitter mob on them essentially. Sounds pretty cancel culture-y to me, and I don't care for it.
But is there a difference between economic boycotts versus heckling speakers and violent protests?

Sorry there are consequences when you lose 5B in market share
I'm not even convinced that's a real number, tbh. Whatever temporary blip this caused in their financials, people are gonna keep drinking their beer and they'll be just fine.
I shared 2 pitchers of Bud Light with some chums yesterday, btw.

She is a business executive and made a decision that the VP of Common Sense would have rejected.
"There is this guy on tik tok that pretends he is a girl and he is celebrating 365 days of pretending he is a girl. Let's make a Bud Light can with his face on it and send it to him as part of our celebration of March Madness so he/she can promote Bud Light".
No one could have thought this was a good idea. At best it would be a waste of money, at worst this happened. I am fine with her losing her job.

Yes there is, of course. Boycotting a company because they tried to market to someone you don't like is beyond stupid, but it's not violent or dangerous in any way so have at it, I guess. And I understand the basic business principle of "A decision that you made ultimately led to us losing money, so you have to face the consequences." But it still doesn't really sit well with me that someone should lose their job because other people are morons.
Last weekend, i legit asked for a different glass for a draft beer bc the glass said Bud Light. The bartenders were like wtf is wrong with this dickhead?
You dont have to do everything Richard Dreyfuss' son tells you to do.

I don't? Weird.
FWIW I drank the Bud Light before Richard Dreyfuss's son had even commented on this fake controversy. I drank it because we told Mr. Met to pick whatever he wanted since he doesn't drink IPAs, and he picked Bud Light. As neither a child nor a faggot, I happily drank it.

Making stupid tik tok vidoes where you shoot beer aluminum cylinders or burn jerseys or do something performative is stupid to me also.
Not buying a product because you don't like the way that they are going about their business is the absolute right way to go about voicing displeasure and, if someone loses their job, especially if their entire role is helping to increase profits, then they should go.
I wouldn't make calls for her to be fired but it is a direct consequence of her doing her job poorly.

I saw a pic somewhere this morning of the whole Bud Light marketing team she assembled. It looked like you’d imagine, just all white girls and a couple gay guys.

That's a perfectly reasonable take. It's just all so dumb because - predictable as it may have been - that's an asbolutely retarded reason to boycott a product. I suppose she should have been smart enough to know that there are a lot of idiots out there who might do something like this though, so I'm not gonna go protest her firing or anything. But it's still pretty stupid IMHO.
