One league - Number 1 seed, most points, first round bye. My team is beatable though. There are probably four teams that could win it but having the bye helps.
Other league - 5 seed, first round match-up vs. the #4 seed. It so happens this is the same team I played this past week. They beat me by nine points. My RBs were CEH, who I didn't realize was sick and going to sit out the Sunday night game, and A. Gibson who got 14 yards before getting injured, so I got 1.4 points total from the RB spot.
I lost in the semis in the league where I was the #1 seed and overall points leader.
I'm making a Cinderella run in the league where I was a #5 seed. Knocked off overall #1 this weekend and take on the 3 seed in the Championship.
I survived my decision to start Rodgers over our lord and savior Joshua Harold Allen, and will advance to the finals as the #2 seed and overall points leader. I will face the #1 seed, who stole that spot away from me in the final week when I shit the bed against an inferior opponent.
Even if I hadn't taken the previously discussed tough beat in the other league, I would have been completely obliterated by the top seed, who put up 200 points this week. That takes a bit of the sting out of it, I guess.
I had Alvin Kamara so I won my 3rd place game in my FF league, but it was way closer than it should have been. Nick Chubb's zero points at halftime made me really nervous but he eventually woke up and the Bucs taking Brady out at halftime saved me. I was really dreading the possibility that I was going to lose because I started Kyler over Josh but thankfully it became a moot point.

i lost in a survivor pool picking the browns yesterday. the picks lock when the first game of the week starts so i couldn't do anything when i found out all the browns receivers were out. sucks to lose that way, it was the longest i ever made it in one of these pools.

That is a bad beat.
How many people were alive going into yesterday in your pool? Stakes?
I don't recall being in any survivor pool that was still going on into week 16.

10 people. 6 people got knocked out with the browns. It's $500 winner take all but it's going to split obv. the big stakes are the confidence pool, the winner gets $1400 and it pays out the top 10. i'm going to make some money from that so can't complain. good work on the corner btw, i wouldn't have taken the falcons, that was weird

I had Kamara but haven’t clinched yet. I need 15 points from Allen and Diggs, which is a virtual lock barring injury. Since the filthy scumbag Patriots are going to knock Josh out of the game on the first play, likely ending his career and threatening his life, I guess I shoulda just started Rodgers.

Kamara had 57.2 points for me. I’d still have won if he had 0.
Pretty decent finals performance if I do say so myself. New board, no traditions; no more of this second place bullshit.
ETA: When previewing fantasy drafts, 31 declared this team the best team he’s ever seen and if I didn’t win the chip I should retire, or something to that effect. Weird that he would say such a thing about an Allen/Diggs team, but the important thing is that he was right on the internet. Congrats to both of us.
A dude I used to play fantasy football with runs a playoff league every year. It's basically a "survivor" format, where you make a lineup for every round of the playoffs but can only use each player once. Full rules are here. I didn't play last year, but it's been pretty fun in the past and I have a few bucks from my regular season winnings so I'm jumping back in. No idea how many people will end up playing, but it's an open invite to anyone who wants to join. $50 buy-in, payable by Paypal/Venmo before the first game kicks off or else your team is removed from the league. Prizes for the top 3 finishers, and possibly for weekly high scores depending on how many people join. PM if you want to play, and I'll share the sign-up link and payment info.
I bitched about this in the box last night, but I'll recap my playoff performance here because I'm procrastinating...
I expected to have the 6 seed, but snuck into 5th on a total points tie-breaker. I was not happy about this, because the 3rd place team suuuuuuucks and I really wanted to play him instead of the 4th place team (who has Mahomes and Derrick Henry). Turns out I was right to be upset about this seeding, as I lost 148.12-147.74. The 3-6 match, FWIW, was won 113.6-96.78 by the #6 seed.
I was in a big hole after Henry's monster day on Sunday. My opponent happens to be a Titans fan, so he was sending me Henry gifs all day to rub it in. I kept it within striking distance though, needing 24.7 points out of Chubb last night to secure the W. Those 2 first-half TDs had me feeling pretty prettayyyyy good, but alas... The game turned into a shootout, Kareem Hunt got most of the second half RB workload, and Chubb fell exactly 4 yards short of what I needed. It was fun to root for Hunt to get tackled at the 1 on that last TD to see if Chubb would come in for the goal-line carry, and then to hang on the slim hope of Justin Tucker actually missing a FG to see if Chubb could get me those last few yards in OT.
Fantasy football is fun. We have fun.
That's a wonderful tale that I enjoyed muchly. However, I have one even better.
I finished 3rd out of 12 teams in my league (10th in total scoring, however). Kinda scrambled to get there after losing Barkley (I picked second overall) early and was without Mostert for the bulk of the season. I leaned pretty heavily on Mahomes, DJ Moore, and Justin Jefferson the rest of the season. But alas, I probably overachieved given my scoring (I had some BAAAAD weeks early).
So I was ahead by 5.75 points heading into MNF--my opponent had Marquise Brown left to play. It was looking pretty good for most of the night and was looking like a lock when the Ravens were faced with 4th and 5 with the possibility of Willie Snead lining up at QB. You know what happens next. I went to bed with Brown having 1 catch for 6 yards. I woke up this morning with a swift kick to the nuts.
I'm sure I'll outscore the guy I would've matched up with this coming week, but I doubt I would've beaten the top seed. That guy went 11-2 and somehow has Davante Adams, Derrick Henry, and Tyreek Hill on his roster. I hate this stupid ass hobby.
Just to put a bow on this wonderful tale--the guy who beat me in the quarterfinals ended up winning the entire league. Beat the top seed in the semis and then obviously won against the 5 seed in the championship. I ended up losing the third place game because I wasn't paying attention and didn't see Tony Pollard (who I kept around all season on my bench without ever starting) was going to start over Zeke that week (and ended up having a monster game). So I would've at the very least been in the championship if that hail mary doesn't happen and I start Pollard in the semis.

is "Bills Luck" 31?
It's not. You're the only one from here that joined.
I drafted a playoff team for a 6-team league last night. PPR league, we drafted 9 players (QB, RB, 2 WR, TE, 3 Flex, DEF) and it's just cumulative points throughout the playoffs. I had the 4th pick, took our lord and savior Joshua Patrick Allen, and then Diggs was there on the way back so I'm all-in on my Bills. Here's what I wound up with:
QB: Josh Allen RB: J.K. Dobbins WR: Stephon Diggs, Mike Evans TE: Robert Tonyan FLEX: James Conner, Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp DEF: Bucs
