TY both for your input. My league is all adults, most of whom are pretty active and savvy fantasy players. But it's only a 10-team league, so the WW always has some guys with actual value. I also have Kamara btw, so it's my #2 and 3 RBs out significant time, not my top 2, but I see your point.
Everything I've seen over the last 3-4 weeks indicates Harris should be the guy in New England. But I totally agree with paje's point that this likely means he'll get 15 total carries the rest of the season, and we'll see a healthy dose of Burkhead and/or the return of Laurence Maroney next week. I put in bids on both Harris ($18) and Hines ($11). I have over $80 left so I may adjust those up to make sure I get them both. But other than huge bids on Davis and Mattison when McCaffrey/Cook got hurt, there have only been a few guys that went for over $10 all season. So I feel pretty decent about getting both of these guys, and since I don't NEED to win this week and have some RBs probably coming back soon, I'd like to save some money just in case I need it down the stretch.

Theny, your thoughts?
I gave you a kudo because the Laurence Maroney line made me laugh.
Kudos as well for playing in a league that does blind bid free agent waivers. The leagues I'm currently in are first come first serve waivers based on the standings, which sucks. My theory on blind bids is go big on free agents early (week 1 or 2) because you have those guys for the rest of the year if they hit, or wait until the play off run and then drop the hammer on some guys like ldot drops the hammer on your mom. Roughly 25% of your remaining budget for Harris and 15% for Hines seems like good bids.

TY for the kudo. The Maroney line felt good off the bat. It seems it may have confused some others, but I'm glad you en-joyed.
My other leage (with more money and more serious players) is first come first serve based on the standings, and I don't like it. I haven't had a single useful WW acquisition this year. I like the blind bids a lot more. TY for your thoughts on the matter.

I really don’t like waivers by the standings. It removes all strategy and rewards sucking. I have that in 1 league. I was told it’s so no one loses hope. I would say if someone doesn’t try the whole year don’t invite them back.
I know you've been waiting for the conclusion to this story, so here you go... I got Harris. I was outbid ($15 to my $11) on Hines. Ballage also got picked up for $5. I probably should have bid on him too, at least as an Ekeler handcuff. Shoulda listened to Untouchable on that one. Oh well, I'm pretty happy rolling out Kamara and Harris this week; hopefully Ekeler and/or Mostert are back for my playoff run, where I will undoubtedly get blown out by a shitty team in the first round after thoroughly dominating this league all year.
As mentioned in the shoutbox, I would keep an eye on this. I could see ESPN removing his TE eligibility. When they made him TE eligible, they said they would continue to monitor the situation based on where he plays.

Have they ever done that in the middle of a season?

No way to know.
He shouldn't be TE-eligible. But changing it 2 days before the game, after people obviously made roster moves this week based on his current eligibility, would be pretty fucked up.

Agree on both. It’s really bizarre

He's only $4800 on Draftkings. I'm thinking of tearing down that line up and building around him. It isn't looking good for D. Swift with the concussion. A. Peterson is at $4000.
