It appears that I am considering backing the truck up for Deshaun. This would please me...however it is a little bit confusing because he is not an ideal fit for what it looks like Rhule is trying to do with the quick pass offense. I guess if Roethlisberger can figure it out at 38, Watson can do it too, but he holds on to the ball for a loooooooooong time back there.
Did you see the tweet from their beat writer yesterday about a possible package for Deshaun? CMC, 2021 first, 2022 first, and 2022 second I think. I'm ok with shipping out CMC as part of this deal but the pick package is way too much.

I dunno, that's less than i would expect to have to give up for him in a fair market situation (where Houston hasn't blown it already). We'd be using at least one of those firsts for a QB anyway, knowmean?

Given that he's been vocal about forcing himself out of Houston the potential trade partner has leverage here. Take away the 2022 first and I think we have a deal.

yeah but i'm afraid there's gonna be at least a couple other teams interested. I doubt CMC and 3 picks will be the actual winning bid, tbh.

If you believe the talk Miami is the primary competition.
i have conferred with the staff and we do not want Wentz and believe Hurts is equivalent to Teddy B, will have to pass at this time but please keep us in mind for future opportunities.

You wanna give up CMC, 2 firsts, and a 2nd for a QB that won 5 games this year on a playoff team last year? I like Watson, but that sounds like bad news.

almost like his coach completely sabotaged the whole team just to show his way was the only way
