Thru Season 6. I’m elevating this show into the pantheon with Sopranos and Wire. Not counting comedies like Sein or Men Behaving Badly.
I’m not sure what I’ll do when I’m done this show, which should be within a week.
I agree with Sham, top 5 for me too. Not quite at the level of Sopranos or The Wire but pretty close and originally aired on Fox, not HBO so no nudity and no F word. I passed Ballz, I only have 2 eps left to complete the series. LOL

The ending for The Shield was tremendous. Definitely worth my time to watch it again 20 years later.

just finished. God what an awesome show. I like that it didn’t wrap with a happy ending.
random thoughts:
- season 5 was one of the best seasons of tv ever imo - Vic Mackey - his acting in S7 was so weird lol. Like every line he delivered was in this loud whisper. Lowkey terrible actor lol. Every serious scene with him had me LOLing tbh - Forrest Whitaker: show mvp even though it was only like 15 episodes - Dani- she turned out to be such a major cunt to everyone, especially Mackey and hot Tina. - waggenbach - dorky but one of the best actors on the show imo - Lem. Good guy, had too big a conscience to associate with those guys - Acevedo - I felt like they crowbarred him into the show after he left the barn - Shane : liked the way they played his storyline in the end - Ronnie- shocked how Vic did him like that but I liked it - Claudette - she’s an asshole - Julian - good guy, I was hoping he’d get more comeuppance on the gay bashers - blonde ICE chick. Too hot to be in law enforcement. I didn’t like the S7 storyline at all tbh, and she was the face of it. S7 kind of went unrealistic
I watched some of this. Reading the comments, I was seeing if anyone mentioned Julian not being there, which informed me that he’s in prison for killing his idoit! I’m glad I didn’t know that.
Having completed The Shield, arguably the best show of all time imo, I’m now in a tv void.
Ive done 2 episodes of Justified. Idk. Timothy Olyphant is a little too handsome and cool for my taste so far, and some other stuff in the early episodes seems cartoonish. Maybe it changes.
2 episodes of Southland. It’s alright so far but it seems kind of boring. Ppl say it’s comparable to Shield. Oddly they do say Fuck on this show even though it was USA, but it still seems much tamer than Shield.
Justified changes, pilot great, next 3 episodes they can't decide what kind of show to be, then from ep 5 on it's great, season 2 is phenomenal and everything after outside of a little season 5 wheel spinning is amazing
too lazy to look for an FX thread if we have one, anyone else watching Shogun? I quite enjoy and if you're on the fence, in the first ep, FX goes all in with some toplessness so high five tv execs and I would request the director's cut of Justified now where we get topless Winona, Ava, Jackie Nevada, hot bartender chick, etc.
Anyway, Shogun has 5 eps out and you should watch it.

I went to this thread too because I don’t think we have an fx thread. Anyway, Al Bundy as Donald Sterling!
I’m 2/3 thru episode 1. Like it’s good but it sucks. It seems well done and I’m enjoying it but it’s very stereotypical shit. They make Sterling seem like an incredible racist in every scene but it’s kind of subtle. Al Bundy plays Sterling, and he’s fantastic. The part that’s bothering me is that they make DOC RIVERS (played by Furious Styles) out to be a living legend, and no one can believe an all-time great coach like him would even take the Clippers job.
This girl that plays V Stiviano is the malado girl from Last Man on Earth. I’m A huge fan. The actor is called Cleopatra Coleman.
