I got Max for Hard Knocks. First ep was decent. Last night’s episode was very good, centering on Jaelen Phillip’s whole situation ending with his Achilles tear in the Jets game on that trash field.
Real Sports is ending this season. I’ve heard the final episode will be on in December.
What do you make of it ending?
I'm a little bummed out it's ending. They've done a ton of interesting stories on the fringe elements of the sports world. I don't love Bryant Gumbel as the host, but the stories they cover are usually pretty good.

my two most memorable real sports stories…
1. A degen wolf type who recounted losing a huge bet on Robin Ventura’s grand slam single 2. A report on aluminum bats and how it’s physically impossible for a pitcher to react as fast as the ball could be back on him and if he gets hit in the head in the right spot he’s going to instantly be killed

I've been en joying Hard Knocks. There's nothing really earth shattering but it's interesting to see the behind the scenes stuff of an NFL team. I was surprised that they were able to put this weeks ep together so quickly after a Monday night game.
Question for Theny... they referenced McDaniel's dumb capri pants briefly in an earlier episode, but I'm still unclear on why he wears them, it looks kinda ridiculous. Also, he seems to really like saying "fuck" every chance he gets. I've been watching this show for years and I know these guys swear, but it seems forced. Thoughts?

They’re not capris, he just hikes them up. I wish he wouldn’t. I agree they cuss way too much, but it’s a locker room I guess.
LOL, the language on some of these mens, my lawdy! Won't SOMEONE think of the children?!?!?!
I'm not offended by the fucking fuckery language. My point is that he seems to go out of his way to fucking swear just because he's on fucking HBO and can get away with it. Fuck.
