With your and 79's feelings being so strong on Barry, I am going to give it a shot. Thank you both.
theyare tripping. The show is ok
I am through the first 4 episodes of Barry. I am with 79 and wolf. It is great.
It is so different than any show I have seen. The danger and violence seem real, but there is this other light side that is not really comedy but light and funny. I have never really seen a show that has its tone. It also is incredible to me that Hader somehow seems credible as a criminal assassin.
It was 11 p.m. last night when I ended the episode and I really wanted to go on to watch the 5th.
The Jon Hamm cameo was hysterical. I did actually laugh out loud.
She is good, but I am not in love with the blonde yet.
Hope there are more shout outs to Cleveland in future episodes. Hader wearing this shirt was great:
{Spoiler} After the two marines were killed the episodes weren't as good to me. It was more heavy on the assassin part as opposed to the acting class. I like when there is more of a balance.
I finished season 2 of Barry. The season was good, but I think a little step down from Season 1. I enjoy the show, but it is a step down from The Wire, The Sopranos and The Americans for me.
It is not like Ted Lasso at all, but like that show Barry has a lot of lines that make me laugh that I instantly forget.
The blonde hasn't bowled me over with her looks yet.
I did watch episode 1 of Season 3 last night and I think that was one of the best episodes of the entire series. Noho Hank was cracking me up.

Told you
Its ok
It is way better than OK. However, it is not cracking my top 5 shows ever, not sure top 10, so far.
I have 2 eps left in Season 3. I still love it. It's OK that other people don't.
I don't know if it is because I took about a week off, but the first 3 episodes of the third season of Barry have been fantastic. The 3rd episode seemed like it was 5 minutes long it was so entertaining.
I died when after being pointed out Jimmy Kimmel the fat Chechnynan gangster said, "The Man Show has not aged well".

There was a stretch of S3 (like eps 5-6 maybe?) where either it went off the rails or I was too drunk when I watched. I feel like I lost the plot for a minute there, but it may very well be on me. I ended up really enjoying the season as a whole, and am looking forward to S4.

Wolf does it again. I finished the series and after episode 3 it did lose its way a bit. It rallied at the end, and I really enjoyed the finale, especially the final scene.
