I was thinking the other day that there are so few good movies compared to the 1990s and 2000s. To that end, here is my list of the best movies since 2010.
HM. A controversial choice, Bridesmaids. I saw a good chunk of it the other day and that movie is funny, to me.
5. A Star is Born
The early scene at the drag bar is kind of weird, and it doesn't really stick the landing at the end, but other than that it is a fun movie.
4. The Town
If it didn't have some improbable moments in the plot, this could have been #1.
3. Moneyball
Brad Pitt is great. For a sports movie, no real climax/chill scene but it doesn't matter. They built it around the 20 game winning streak, that #tpt surpassed years later. #sicktptshoehorn.
2. The Social Network
It seems impossible that they could make a movie about Facebook this entertaining. Taking liberties with what really happened, probably helped, but it still is great. This scene feels like it would be similar to BSMB's first real date after The Dunce"
1. Zero Dark Thirty
Amazingly suspenseful despite knowing how it ends. Jessica Chastain is great in it, along with the interrogator. "What do you like to listen to after you blow shit up?"
I think there was one other film i liked but I am blanking, so I wil tell you that the only piece that hasnt sucked since 2010 is this, which was excelente.

They made an entire movie around putting 20 inch rims on an impala?
Zero Dark Thirty was really good. I enjoyed The Town. A Star is Born and Moneyball are both fine but overrated IMO. I haven't seen The Social Network. I'm skeptical about those being the 5 best movies of the last 10 years, but I haven't looked into it. Good post, Wolf.
Movies from after 2010 that I would both recommend and rewatch (outside of the Marvel Universe which is generally enjoyable, as well)
American Hustle Argo Baby Driver Blackfish BlacKKKlansman Bone Tomahawk Creed series Ex Machina Ford v Ferrari Free Solo Get Out Gravity Hell or High Water Hereditary Hidden Figures Inception It Follows John Wick series Joker Knives Out La La Land Lincoln Moonlight Nightcrawler Once upon A Time In Hollywood Parasite Snowpiercer Split Spotlight The Dark Knight Rises The King's Speech The Martian The Nice Guys The Witch The Wolf of Wall Street Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri Whiplash
** The ones you guys already mentioned are all great and should be included
mj3528: bsmb, how about you do a top 5 Sandler movies post? Do you know Dan Patrick has been in 18 Sandler movies?
HMs: Jack and Jill, Blended, Click, Waterboy, Grown Ups 1 and 2, Just Go With It
5. The Longest Yard
4. Chuck and Larry
3. Billy Madison
2. That’s My Boy
1. Happy Gilmore
Worst Sandler film I have watched: Any of the Netflix ones. I sat thru Murder Mystery, and that was allegedly good!
Most overrated: Uncut Gems. It wasn't 100% terrible, but it was not nearly as good as the dongs would have had you believe. I assumed they pretended to like it bc he donated to Hillary or Biden or some shit.
I'm amazed you picked an actual good movie for #1. Congrats. But the correct answer is Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, Waterboy, Big Daddy, and Mr. Deeds.

Thank you for the assignment completion. I totally agree with you about Uncut Gems.
I enjoyed Funny People, but that does not receive a lot of love.
