he is a baby boomer star who has built a sizable part of his career on stories about American white men "doing the right thing."
asshole. it's actually true. tom hanks has only played white men in his career. literally 100% of the time, it's infuriating
Well, here is my suggestion: Let's make part of that conversation how baby boomer filmmakers have made fortunes amplifying ideas of white American exceptionalism and heroism.
No more films where white guys are heroes. That shall end racism. Get on it, Untouchable.
Will do! I heard they might be rebooting passion of the Christ. What’s wrong with snoop dogg? I’m going to try to get some buzz going on Twitter
Solid job picking a movie that really shouldn't cast a white guy as the lead.
Going back to the Goodman takes: For his recent stuff, I really enjoyed Kong Skull Island. Just a dumb action movie but Goodman is entertaining in it. Arachnaphobia was always one of my favorites, and he's good in Raising Arizona.

yeah, not the best example. the article seems like he thinks tom hanks should apologize for his career.
Now, I thought, we'll see him examine how his work — so often focused on the achievements of virtuous white, male Americans – may have made it tougher for tales about atrocities such as Tulsa to find similar space.

he was offered jobs and took them.
He should defiantly apologize for his career. It STINKS!
So now we're just letting Monsters Inc. slander fly around all willy nilly? Is that what this place has come to?
he profaned Lebowksi/Walter Sobchak too but i think everyone learned long ago just to let the dunce talk himself into all the corners he wants, unless someone has some fun facts about Delhomme, McCoy, and mentoring walrus GMs in Cleveland they haven't shared yet
To say nothing of the John Belushi slander. To be expected from this clown I guess.

Top 5 Mark Ruffalo Movies
He's got a solid variety of films to choose from, I don't really care about his marvel shit so I didn't include that but interested to see how people view Ruffalo as he's kind of a jack of all trades.
5 - Now you see me - It's not a great movie but it's entertaining enough, has a twist, and Ruffalo does a lot of the heavy lifting here. 4 - Zodiac - Fun bit of Ruffalo here. Basically his audition for Spotlight. Totally believable homicide detective, watching him work the case is believable enough. They never find the guy, bummer. 3 - Last Castle - This was my first introduction to Mark Ruffalo and this is a super rewatchable movie for me. Love him as Yates sharing the screen with Gandolfini and Redford. 2 - Spotlight - He dials it up a bit and starts to get near Pacino-In-Heat levels of over acting but this movie scratched the "All The Presidents Men" itch and that's never a bad thing. 1 - Shutter Island - Based on this choice - clearly my favorite version of Ruffalo is him being a partner investigating something. He just plays it incredibly well and he shares the big screen with Leo, proving that he can't be the best guy on your finals team but he can absolutely be the #2 guy on a finals team and win it all for you. Really enjoyed Shutter Island and I think its one of his bigger critical successes as well.
HM - He's in Eternal Sunshine, to me that's not a Ruffalo movie but he is in it so I guess I'll mention that.
