Went out with an all time great ep though, that one had everything. Hank not knowing post-mortem, pft/rovell feud, koepka drunk history and blackout stories, re-tricking billy into telling the fight story 5 more times, great hot seat/cool throne, great guys on chicks. Ill probably listen to that one again.
"I still have my taste...well let me check, I have some pirate's booty here...this is electric...yep still cheesy"
I enjoyed Big Cat not remembering that the 2 point conversion hasn't always been in the NFL. Then he compared that to how he has conversations with "kids" who have lived their whole lives thinking the yellow first down line has always been there. The yellow line only came around 4 years after the 2 point conversion.
Billy's description of Trevor Lawrence as having a ceiling of Tom Brady and a floor of Paxton Lynch was hilarious. Literally you pretty much just described every QB that has ever played in the NFL.
Whitney is probably the funniest athlete or ex athlete out there. Also, the only one there that will give it back to Portnoy. I didn't realize what kind of career he had either. 5th pick in the draft and was on the Olympic team in 2010. Got a big contract too (due to being on the power play with Crosby).
Is John Rothstein self-aware? I think he is, but there are moments where I can’t help but wonder.
He is genuinely one of the most bizarre individuals out there I think he's aware of how strange he is but he's very comfortable being that strange and has embraced it.

TY. That sounds about right. He’s a bizarrrely endearing combo of Simmons-esque 40 year old pop culture references and Rovell-esque corniness.

Yeah, I think he's basically leaned into it the more widely known he's become.

Rothstein is a maniac. I think he said he texts every coach in his phone good luck before every game and someone FOIA'd a bunch of coaches phone records and he actually did.
He actually likes the sport he covers, which is pretty rare among the media now.

Yeah he’s clearly very passionate about the sport, which is nice to see. He’s also autistic af, if you want my diagnosis.
