I get why they're doing this and I know they won't be the last school to do it, but this gets us one step closer to a super league of schools who have the money to compete at the highest level and schools who just want to compete for bowl games and 8-4 records.

I guess maybe the money factor changes things and makes it feel more like pro sports or whatever. But hasn't college football pretty much always been a small group of schools who can compete at the highest level and everyone else just competing for bowl games and 8-4 records?
