I assume the Superb Owl will still get ratings right? It's been interesting to see how low the ratings have been for all the championships these last couple months. I assume much of that is down to 2020 and the weird schedules, but the SB* is still an event, right?

(The Super Bowl, not the shout box.)
Last Sunday's Steelers-Titans game had the highest rating for that time slot in 4 years.

Yeah I feel like football is still doing just fine. The Super Bowl may be less of an "event" than usual in terms of in-person attendance and all the surrounding parties and such. But everyone except Balls is still gonna watch.

I'll watch but will be torn bc Eagles/Chiefs. I'd probably go Eagles bc Andy got one.
I don't know if this video is going to post because its from twitter. But viewing this play from this angle is pretty insane. The anticipation and accuracy of the throw, the timing and the catch itself... and this is pretty much a routine NFL play.

there should be a lottery for football imo. help the bad teams but discourage tanking. i'd actually go further than the nba and give the bottom 5 or 10 teams an equal shot at the top pick. i don't really see a bad side or why the logic would be any different than basketball.
Is purposely throwing the ball away always a smart play? No stats on this but from watching football games on tv for many years I’m pretty sure it is a smart decision 100% of the time. Kendall hinton should have tried this approach.

There was a Giants-Cowboys game a few years back where Eli threw the ball away rather than take a sack, which stopped the clock. The Giants were ahead by 3 and the Cowboys were without timeouts (which is why the call was weird). The Giants proceeded to kick a FG on the next play. and the Cowboys proceeded to score a TD with like 3 seconds left to win by one. Soooo, it's the smart play 99.9999999% of the time
