Is this your prediction on how things settle? I think there's more chaos to come in the last month plus. I could absolutely see the below happening:
1. Ohio State 2. Alabama 3. SMU 4. Colorado
5. Oregon vs 12. A&M 6. Notre Dame vs 11. Indiana 7. Texas vs 10. Ole Miss 8. Penn State vs 9. BYU
This is based on the following happening:
Alabama runs the table and wins the SEC Ohio State beats Oregon in the B1G chip SMU beats Miami in the ACC chip Colorado upsets BYU in the Big XII chip Indiana loses to Ohio State this week A&M beats Texas Texas loses to Alabama in the SEC chip
No, mine is the current state of affairs.
My thoughts on your scenarios that you didn't ask for--I don't think that the Big 12 gets 2 teams in, even with a 1 loss BYU. I think it's a win and in thing. Colorado shouldn't lose any more games, but it also wouldn't surprise me if they lose 2 out of 3. Also, in your scenario, I don't think it's completely implausible that Boise State gets the #4 seed (they're currently 13th in the rankings).

I think the Big 12 gets 2 in if BYU's only loss is Colorado, but given how they looked against Utah this past week I could see them losing multiple games from here out (San Jose State this week and Colorado in the Big 12 chip).
I totally forgot about Boise--I was thinking they'd lose somewhere along the way but even if they win out I don't think they get any higher than the P4 champions. Maybe they settle in at 9 and BYU gets completely left out if they lose one or more games.
We'll see at least 4 teams from each of the SEC and B1G. And even if ND wins out I don't think they get higher than 6th. Oregon won't fall far enough even with a loss to Ohio State.
