It's funny because they fucking suck and will be absolutely brutal to watch, thanks to owners that run the team like they're the goddamn Kansas City Royals or some shit.

other cities commiserate with you as the Boston sports scene seems to have been irrelevant since 2001.

I have no idea. It's maddening. I realize no one feels bad for a team that has won 4 World Series in the last 20 years, in a city that has also won a bunch in other sports ruing the same time period. But it's really fucking annoying to watch people run your favorite team in a way that makes it seem like they don't actually want to win games.
Because Fenway Sports Group is not just the Sox anymore, it's the Penguins, some flitty soccer club, some other shit, etc. The Sox are a line on the ledger now and they think since they've won so much in twenty years, they can go cheap on the payroll and still pack Fenway with visiting fans who want to have the "Fenway Experience". It doesn't matter to them who's buying the tickets.
AND Fugly JENNINGS IS FUGLY!!!!! Awful White Female Liberal: Eat a dick kite

$1.5 billion investment in the PGA Tour, and I have no idea how they are going to get a return on that investment.
I know it’s only like 1/3 of the season so he probably won’t keep it up and will get hurt anyway, but Duran is on pace to hit more triples than anyone has had since 1925. He’s also 5th in the league in doubles. Seems good.
