The notion that "white suburban women" - or any other demographic - are all supposed to want the same things is just unbelievably fucking narcissistic and stupid. I'm sure people on the Right do this too, but the whole "voting against your own self-interest" thing is something I hear all the time from these condescending media twats who presume to know what anyone else's priorities are. They do it with abortion, "voting rights," Covid, schools, taxes, and basically everything else they talk about. You don't fucking know what is important to voters, and the more you try to tell them what is supposed to be important to them, the more of them you're gonna lose. It's probably always been like this, but it ramped up to a whole new level with Trump. It's been 6 years, and they still haven't learned.
As for her take on abortion specifically... I don't know if it's intentional or not, but all these pro-choice people with any sort of platform talk about it as if every woman wants to have an abortion. They seem to genuinely believe that this is a men vs. women thing, and that pro-life people only want to "control women". Abortion should be legal, but their dishonesty about it just bothers way more than the other side's does.
