The women's team making the final four? Glad for Wes Moore--great coach who finally broke through that barrier. We've had better teams the last few years but we got a little bracket luck this year (avoiding SC, Iowa, UConn in our region). House money at this point--will probably loose to the SC Death Star.
Men's team? Holy shit--never thought this would happen again in my lifetime. So much shit I've seen in the last 30+ years led me to believe we were doomed forever as a basketball program. The shot to tie UVA in the ACCT may have put NC State Shit to bed forever. And to beat UNC and Duke (twice) on this run? Even better.
Now what happens? If we don't get in foul trouble against Edey we've got a chance. Burns is on an all time heater right now. How can you watch this guy and not love his game? Simply amazing.
Beat Purdue and it's one game for everything. Duke beat UNLV in the 91 Final Four. State beat Houston in 83. Villanova beat Georgetown in 85. Anything is possible.
And if we lose in the Final Four? It's been a heck of a run.
It would be cool if UConn played beat NC State in both tournaments. Good luck Flush!

Welp--it was a good run. Got ice cold at the worst possible time in both the women's and men's Final Four games.
I'm not sure the women's team would've beaten SC if they had played 20 times. SC was just that much better.
As for the men's game--defended Edey well after the first few minutes but could never take control of the game. Had a couple of opportunities to make it a one possession game in the second half but couldn't make shots. And kinda like with the women's team I'm not sure we'd have beaten UConn if we'd somehow beaten Purdue. But we beat Duke (twice) and UNC to win the ACCT and get to the Final Four for the first time since 1983. Just hope the program carries this momentum forward instead of going dormant for another 30+ years.

I saw the Paul Hewitt tweet this morning, that's an alarming comparison.
And yeah, I have no idea how teams even played SC close this year on the women's side. Just a bunch of trees down low and can go 9 deep so you can't even get them in foul trouble.
"Hey Siri, which athletics programs have gone to a bowl game, both men's and women's basketball Final Fours, and baseball's College World Series this academic year?"
