I mean, it’s not a stat I think every fan should be monitoring closely. But I think we can all agree that making contact is a good thing. Seems pretty cool to see a guy hitting like .700 and making contact every time he swings. Especially in this absurd strikeout era.

UEM, way too early observations and thoughts.

I am done with Andres Giminez for the time being.   Send him back to the minors and don't bring him up until he is hitting well.   Maybe actually trade him at that point.

I have seen enough of Mercado.   We should dump him like we did Zimmer.

Let's bring up George Valera and let him play nearly every day in RF.

We have to do something about catcher.   Austin Hedges cannot catch 100 games.   Let him be the backup, and we have to find a legitimate starting catcher.

Anything else?  

I didn't get the Leon signing, unless maybe protection if Hedges gets hurt.   The pitchers love Hedges for his ability to call a game and defense.    He is signed so he is a fine backup catcher.   

Miller should move to second.  His tentativeness with 1b likely cost #tpt a win on Saturday.

Bringing up Jones is a good idea.  Maybe give Valera some more minor league at bats before calling him up.
