Iowa only scored 18 more points than them and Iowa played in 2 more games. Don't feel too bad.

Oh I have some insider info on that incidence. Apparently the 3 decedents were bullies to that guy, and he had told his dad he was sick of it and wanted to leave school. His dad urged him to stick it out and get thru the year. I cant remember if he filed a report with the university or not. But these guys were known rabble rousers.

The men’s and women’s games today added together with beating the #1 team in the country at baseball added up to probably the best weekend in my lifetime of being an Iowa fan. That was fun.
The racial discrimination suit against the Iowa football team dropped all of its individual defendants today, which almost certainly means a settlement is coming. It's remarkable how the current athletic department is completely incompetent in terms of running the actual department (it's not the first time it's been sued over serious issues in the past 10 years) but Iowa athletics has been enjoying its most sustained success across the board since at least the 1980s.
