Shammy noted that you forget everything that happened after you finish watching this show. It is true. I think about half of the stuff in the recap before season 4 I had forgotten.
Anyway, I watched the first episode and most of the second of season 4. It is typical Ozark stuff. Kind of ridiculous, but watchable.
I'm not convinced we really should have an Ozark thread, but I'll contribute anyway.
I watched the first ep last night. Much like past seasons, the plot gets more and more absurd with each passing episode, but I continue to find it thoroughly entertaining. Marty's totally non-chalant attitude with the kids about his criminal enterprise always cracks me up. "Why'd you shoot out the windows?" was LOL-worthy IMHO. I probably just love Jason Bateman.
Anyway... It's an utterly ridiculous show, but I love it.
I watched a couple more tonight. Haven’t changed my overall take on the show, but I will say I’m really enjoying the absurdity so far this season. This show is just fun.
There was one thing that really bugged me. This doesn’t really mean anything to the overall lot but I’ll spoiler anyway…
{Spoiler} When Wendy shuts off the power in the basement to stop Jonah from laundering… he’s using a fucking laptop, for fck’s sake. Sure, his monitors would have turned off. But unless she killed the internet to the whole house and fucked over everyone else in the process, flipping a goddamn circuit breaker is not stopping his computer from finishing that transaction.
Obviously in the grand scheme of all the implausible shit that happens on this show, I shouldn’t be dwelling on a ducking electrical circuit. But it bugs me when shows/movies miss real life shit like this.
This has nothing to do with the actual show, but I just noticed that it’s rated TV-MA for “substances, language, sex, nudity, and smoking”. People are brutally murdered in virtually every episode, but… smoking.
A little late to the party, but I recently started watching this. I just finished season 2. Ridiculous show but pretty entertaining, I will likely continue and finish it. This has been a post.

At first I thought it was a Sopranos type ending and it kinda pissed me off. Did Jonah kill Mel, or maybe his mother? I immediately went to the internet and was happy to see that they intended to make it clear that Jonah shot Mel. Not that Wendy wasn't a cunt that deserved to die but at least they sorta gave us a clean ending.
