I see the guide has Aidan Hutchinson at #2. Am I the only person that thinks he is not going to be good in the NFL? I would not take him in the first round.

Is he that white DE (or LB or whatever) on Michigan? I saw hiim play part of one game; he's going to 8 Pro Bowls.

He's only really had the one season but I thought he was a monster for Michigan this year. I think it's always tough to tell exactly when a team has a pair of dominant edge guys but I think he's a no doubt top 5 guy.

At one point, Ohio State had three of the top 18 guys (and they all played the same position) and, self-admittedly, none of them are as good as the WR that we have coming back.

He showed out more than Thibideaux this season
Yeah, Thibideaux is weird. I get a Clowney vibe from him.

That's insane.
Agreed--and the best of the group imo (Williams) left OSU.

Thibideaux is supposed to have a crazy high ceiling. He's been pretty productive even with a covid season and injury - just very small sample size. I think people see him as someone who won't bust. Even if he's not a constant double digit sack guy, he gets pressure and has the bend you need at edge.
Hutchinson actually fits the mold of past Michigan guys like Rashan Gary and Kwity Paye. 6'5'' 270lb monsters with tons of athleticism and versatility to play different spots on the line. He also seems to rise to meet the moment. I think his best case scenario is JJ Watt not sure what his floor is.

I think you can describe Clowney similarly to what you did there for Thibs though. He was a pretty productive NFL player most of his career even if he never turned into the monster 15 sacks per season guy. He certainly wasn't a bust. That's not a glowing endorsement for a #1 overall, though.
Hutchinson is Watt-esque, and not from purely a race thing. I wasn't that blown away by Watt in college though. As much of a beast as Gary turned into for the Packers this season, that isn't terrible production either.

Yeah I think Gary and Paye are big twitchy Michigan guys who probably needed a year or two to work on things, but now in year 3 Gary really looked pretty legit.
I think Clowney's viral clip of him blowing up that HB in the backfield, really skyrocketed expectations for him. People thought they were going to see that game in and game out, instead they got a perfectly fine productive pass rusher but not a hall of fame stud.

You guys won't believe this but sometimes in the NFL, productivity is about fit and scheme
