Scored on the first play of the game with a 60-yard run.
QB then threw two pick-six in the first quarter, another interception in the red zone later in the game, and we lost two fumbles.
New QB stepped in at practice last night. He has more respect for the ball, so we will see how it goes on Thursday. Playing one of the top ten teams in the area - Churchland.

What are the biggest differences you see at this point from this school versus your old one?
1. Resources
At the previous school, the most kids that we'd likely ever have on the team is 40-45. We've got over 70 at this school and, should we get it really rolling, I'd expect us to be up near 100 on any given year.
Additionally, at the old school, money was raised by car washes and hope. Maybe we'd have 6-10 K of money to spend on 'extras' like feeding kids after practice and whatnot. At this place, I think we've had four or five parents already scratch checks for $1000 each and the moms have worked to get a bunch of restaurants to donate food too us. There are about 40 schools in our region. The old school was in the bottom ten for money/resources, this school is, at worst, second in the area behind richy riches in Virginia Beach.
2. Academics
We lost a bunch of players to academics at old school and had to work hard to keep some eligible. At new place, we've had two kids miss on academics while team GPA is 3.65.
3. Organizational support
Principal at old school hated football and did little to support it. AD was just serving time and trying not to make waves. New school principal is behind us 100% and AD is among the most organized people I've ever met. He gave us a pregame itinerary for when we should be on the field that was timed down to the minute.

This seems like a quick hook for QB1. Was this type of play from him feared as a real possibility?
Yes. He is a guy who wants the glory of being QB but doesn't like the responsibilities.
Handing the keys to a sophomore who will manage the game exactly the way we want.
Our QB spot is not a glory spot, it's more of a point guard type. Distribute, distribute, distribute.
Completely different sport and it’s so much less of a level but we had some people who felt I should have had Audrey be our PG this year and I said Caroline is 10x better, you’ll see. By the end of the year everyone agreed with me.
