I thought it was weird that the Rangers are in 1st place and then I just found out today that they hired Bruce Bochy as their manager this year.

Probably. He's had a heck of a career.
I also learned yesterday that Nate Eovaldi plays for them, and he's 8-2 with a 2.24 ERA and has allowed 0 runs in 5 of his past 7 starts (He also has 2 complete games and has pitched into the 9th in 2 others during that stretch. That's absolutely absurd in 2023 IYO). I bet the Red Sox could use a pitcher like that.
