Did he use a gun? Ok. I'm still pretty much 100% on what can reasonably be done to try to prevent these, regardless of their political persuasion. Thanks though.
It's not the GUNS! It's the PEOPLE! Specifically MENTALLY ILL, TRANS, PRONOUN USING, LIBTARD PEOPLE!
I am all for attempts to make more strict gun laws. I would support some sort of assault weapons ban. However, let's not pretend that we are going to pass laws and mass shootings are going to magically decrease. There are tons of examples of shootings that occur with illegal weapons. The Michigan State shooting was a good example. There were laws on the books that should have prevented the shooter from having a gun. However, the 79 prosecutor didn't make a condition of his conviction/probation that he not own a gun.

This is basically where I land. I’ve always been pro-2A and don’t imagine I’ll change my mind on that, but I’m fully in favor of guns being hard to get and plenty of reasonable laws about background checks, high capacity magazines, etc. But from a cultural standpoint, I think the horse is just way too far out of the barn to expect that anything short of magically making 100% of the guns cease to exist will make a serious difference.
Maybe I’m just a cynical asshole and/or a white supremacist NRA-loving coward. But I think violence has just been so normalized in our society at this point that these lunatics who clearly don’t value human life are gonna keep being pieces of shit no matter how many laws we pass.

Maybe we’ll get lucky and a gun company will choose to market to Dylan Mulvaney.
I’m willing to try, but I have little faith there will be a measurable decrease. I would enjoy being wrong on that point.
Presently there would be less gun violence if the laws on the books were actually enforced or applied.
before we continue to make it harder for the 99% of law abiding citizens who want to own guns, how about we enforce the existing laws and use the maximum sentencing available first?
Between this and the kid getting shot in the head in KC for ringing the wrong doorbell, rough weekend for morons shooting randoms with guns.
Both of these incidents are mind boggling.
I remember in the mid-90s, my friend and I had bad directions trying to find someone's house in Louisville as we were going to the Kentucky Derby for the weekend. We were pretty lost, and it was just before midnight. We saw some lights on in a barn off the road and pulled up the driveway and asked a bunch of people working on a car in the barn to help with us directions. They did and no guns were drawn. Maybe a different outcome in that scenario in 2023.

Sucks that a white girl got it right after the black kid. Sorry 79, i know the timing isnt ideal for your white supremacy narrative you were pushing the other day on the Ralph shooting
