Definitely some #NCStateShit working against you there at the end.
And Balls, I don't think Clemson wins all of the following: @louisville, @pitt, Wake. Wake is already 3-0 in the ACC but finishes @unc, NC State, @clemson, @bc. There are at least 2 losses there. Maybe NC State wins the Atlantic Division.
I don't pay much attention to college sports obviously, but my pal Randy Savage suggested Saturday night that BC has a decent history of #NCStateShit, as well. The one that always sticks on my craw /31 from my days as a student was a home game against Miami, I think in the Ken Dorsey years. They were a top-5 or 10 team and we had them on the ropes, with a goal-to-go and needing a TD to win. And similar to the botched snap this weekend, Brian St. Pierre (I think?) thew a low ball to the corner of the end zone that got batted up in the air and returned for a TD to make it a 2-score game. Just an absolute back-breaker.
This Miami team is often considered the best college football team ever assembled and I'm not inclined to disagree. Clinton Portis, Frank Gore, Willis McGahee, Andre Johnson, Bryant McKinney, Vince Wilfork, Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Jonathan Vilma. Just a cavalcade of talent.

I forgot it was Ed Reed. Just a fucking devastating play. Glad I was able to be there for it.

Hey Wolf, thanks a lot for your help against Wake Saturday. Now we're stuck with Wake/Pitt for the ACC championship. Blech. The stadium might be half full Saturday night.
Our Wolfpack averted an epic meltdown (as narrated by an epic Flush twitter meltdown) by staging an unbelievable comeback Friday against UNC. If you missed it we were down 30-21 with under 2 mins left before scoring 2 TDs (while also recovering an onside kick) to pull out the win. I still can't believe we pulled that game out.
9-3 with wins over UNC and Clemson is pretty pretty good given our history. With a bowl win we get to 10 wins for the second time ever.

As I pointed out in the box, that UNC DB on the final touchdown was one of my former players. Glad that I could help you out. No idea what Wolf's problem is. Prick.

that was a kick ass finish. extremely enjoyable. i must have chalked up a loss due to 'NC State shit' 8 times in the 4th quarter, including "scoring too fast" on the TD to take the lead at the end.

NC State Shit is real and spectacular...except for when it isn't
Yokel, what are your thoughts on Venables? Do you still subscribe to your theory that Dabo is a fraud and this will be bad for them?
i think Venables is a great DC and i also think he's going to have a rough time at OU as the head coach. i think Dabo is going to miss him dearly. But...i thought a similar thing would happen when Chad Morris left as OC and they just kept rolling right along so...probably i'm wrong again and they'll win 100 more chips. Tangent: I really do think the NIL change is bad for clemson though, they had a whole money pipeline set up and now it's pointless.

From what I'm reading/hearing it sounds like Venables has been the de facto head coach and is their best recruiter so if that's the case I can see Clemson falling off a bit. Dabo is going to get exposed.

In my experience, Dabo is a great recruiter, tbh.
Venable is a better recruiter, doe. It will be interesting to watch Oklahoma go from all-offense to all-defense. I would expect Venables to be very aggressive on both sides of the ball.

Venables hired Lane's play caller from Ole Miss. They'll be aggressive.
And getting back to the thread topic--fuck Wake Forest. So glad they lost to Pitt Saturday night.
