There's a sneaky dumb fun game coming up that could take another school off the "Never hosted Gameday" list (h/t to mj's boob girl for posting something about this)-- October 5, Miami at Cal, if both teams are undefeated then it's almost certainly a top 25 matchup with Miami in the top 10. Glad to see these traditional ACC rivalries get a spotlight.
Would be a fun one to host GameDay but there's also Iowa/Ohio State and Clemson/FSU that day. Those being the only other two significant games of note (at this point anyway) means you're probably right that they go with Miami/Cal--or they pivot and do an FCS game that week. ESPN has been pretty hesitant to showcase an ACC game outside of Clemson or FSU lately.
