UNC is 3-0 and one of their wins is at App State. But two close wins at Sun Belt teams doesn't inspire much confidence. Their defense is still atrocious, but Drake Maye looks like he might be the real deal (and maybe better than Sam Howell).
Duke is better than expected. Wake got Hartman back this week and picked right up where they left off last year. Not sure what to think of our Wolfpack yet. Got a big one this week against Texas Tech--our history against OOC P5 teams under Doeren isn't great.

TT taking down Houston this weekend was very impressive to me, to me.

Yeah, that's what worries me. We didn't look great against ECU, but we did blow out Charleston Southern and the Tech game is at home so that makes me feel a little better.
Turns out that beating Houston was less impressive than it appears.
Does GT try to grab their coach as quickly as possible since they know they'll be competing with Auburn if they wait too long?
I keep seeing Deion thrown around. I don't think he would flourish with more scrutiny on him in a big conference.
Eh, Texas Tech beat Texas and Texas hung with Alabama so NC State should be #2 in the country, right???
I've seen Hugh Freeze thrown around for Auburn. That would be hilarious.
Deion as an FBS coach sounds like the Herm Edwards experiment at Arizona State--all name and no substance. ATL would be a great recruiting area for him specifically given his ties to the area as a former Brave/Falcon, but the academic standards of the ACC and GT might be too much. A lower level SEC school like Mississippi State makes a ton of sense but Mike Leach isn't going anywhere.

They should just hire Jeff Monken away from Army.
Seen a lot of folks talking about them returning to an option based offense. Or just bring back Bobby Ross. It worked for UNC and Mack Brown, right??
FLUSH, what are your thoughts about this kid playing QB this week for you?
MJ Morris is an upgrade from the grad transfer (Jack Chambers) we had playing in that he can actually complete a forward pass. Morris looked good when given a chance to sling it downfield--of course, the offense got more aggressive once we fell behind by 2 TDs. But he's definitely an upgrade over Chambers and I feel better about our chances the rest of the season.
We'll see how aggressive Tim Beck is with his play calling early in the Wake game if it's close. Part of that's a function of Doeren trying to limit mistakes the offense makes but I do think some of the conservative nature of the offense is because of Beck's play calling. Urn probably knows what I mean.
wtf, Dabo had the #1 QB recruit on the bench this whole season? With DJ UIgaigjdsaoignagbdas, who sucked last year, sucking harder than all your moms put together? You put him in for 1 series and they beat USCe and we don't have to deal with tOSU in the playoffs.... fucking Dabo, you put Lawrence in when you had a decent QB, but here....
