Man, that Terminator flick sounds fan-fucking-tastic. /nobody
I watched a couple of pictures with the pups this weekend.
Sonic the Hedgehog: I missed the first 20-25 mins while picking up dinner, but this was way better than it had any right to be. Several solid laughs, and the kids loved it.
Nightmare Before Christmas: This is one of those so-called classics that I feel like people love, but neither Wolfette nor I had ever seen it so we checked it out. I don't get what all the hype was about.
Nightmare before christmas is my favorite musical. That's not necessarily a grand achievement, I don't like musicals, but I think it's a cool movie.
That seems like a fair assessment. I didn't dislike it, and frankly I don't think I knew it was a musical going in so maybe I'd feel differently if I'd known what to expect. But overall I thought it was pretty meh.
My favorite musical is South Park: BLU, obviously.
wolf, you buried my post almost as quickly as I bury my post in your mom
I seen those went up pretty much simultaneously. Sorry, the burial was unintentional. That's one feature of the old board that was nice I guess; it would give you that little preview showing new posts that have gone up since you started typing yours, so you could review before posting.

"Ready Or Not" it's a horror film but it's pretty fun and comedic while having plenty of gore and a simple enough story. Real solid 90 minute film, it's on HBO if you have it.

I previewed this on sotsg, that movie is great. I love the dumb song they play during the hiding part.

Watched the new Borat. Might be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I look forward to Benjy saying he's never seen it, heard of it, doesn't have Amazon Prime, and also thought it was hysterical.

Watched The Last Waltz on Prime last night. Have listened to the album many, many times but have never actually watched the movie. It was entertaining. Some of the interviews are pretty funny, though holy shit Robbie Robertson is an attention whore. Cool seeing guys like Van Morrison and Clapton in their "prime." Thought it was funny that they managed to get the least consequential guys from the 2 biggest bands in the world (Ringo and Ronnie Wood) in the finale. Thought Neil Diamond didn't really fit, in doing some research after apparently everyone was pissed that he was there. There's a story that he shit talked Dylan as he came off stage by saying something like "Top that" and Dylan said "How, put them to sleep?"
Anyway, it was an enjoyable watch. Would have been cool to see the actual performance of The Weight from the concert but oh well.
I watched Idiocracy last night. I hadn't seen it before but had always heard good things. This is a very funny movie. I'd watch it again. Two obvservations that have nothing to do with the movie itself:
I never really noticed how much they sound alike, but there were several times when Luke Wilson was talking that if I closed my eyes I'd have thought it was Owen Wilson.
At no point have I ever been even a little bit attracted to Maya Rudolph, but she looked amazing in this. Like, I was convinced she was an actual hot person. That was something.
