I think I mentioned this in the box, but the Oscars this year at least in the Best Picture category have quite a few movies I'd really like to see:
American Fiction--Yes, absolutely. Looks really good Anatomy of a Fall--It's French which is a knock against it but it sounds intriguing. Barbie--I tried watching this to see if my daughter would like it but only made it slightly farther than Balls, maybe like 15 minutes. Just not for me--no thanks. The Holdovers--The dude who did Election with another movie with Paul Giamatti? Absolutely. Killers of the Flower Moon-Yes. Maestro--No thanks. Oppenheimer--Yes. Past Lives--Had to look this one up. Looks like maybe a Korean romance movie? Not the audience. No thanks. Poor Things--Looks kind of annoying but would watch. The Zone of Interest--Auschwitz? That's a yes for me [/balls]
So that's only 3 no's, 2 maybe on the French and the female Frankenstein movie with Emma Stone, and 5 no-brainer yes votes. That seems much better than in years past.
