Duke then took the lead on a Laettner three-pointer before Kentucky fought back to tie it at 79-79 with three minutes to play.
Brian Davis made it 85-81 with a pair of free throws with two minutes to play.
Terrence Jones scored the next three points to make it 85-84.
Kenny Blakeney hits a jumper then Grant Hill gets a steal and a layup to put the Devils up 89-84 with 13 seconds left.
A three at the buzzer provides the final tally.
