The guys that cover college baseball the most say there's absolutely nothing to the idea that Corbin asked for retesting.
That said, Vandy's program has kinda a "Michigan Man" holier than thou attitude, are allowed to stack financial aid in ways other schools aren't that helps them get around the 11.7 scholarship rule, and they have the damn whistler. Of all the programs to benefit from NC State (a lovable underdog who had become something of a fan favorite) having COVID problems, Vandy being the beneficiary really stuck in a lot of craws. Kinda like if those Gordon Hayward Butler teams had been forced to forfeit a shot at a national title to Duke.
