This was fun. Pirates and Orioles played a meaningless bottom of the 9th with no umpires. Shoutout to the announcers for having fun with it; I laughed a few times.
I'm not going to debate you on the union but the umps are literally there to enforce the rules of the game. The rules clearly state that the game is over if the home team is ahead after the visiting team has batted 9 times. Game over. If they want to play more, I say go ahead, but without umpires.

Agreed. The game was over. It's spring training and means nothing, so it's fine if the coaches agreed they were playing the bottom of the 9th no matter what. But the umpires have no obligation to stick around.
