Safety protocols very similar to those that the CDC set out as guidelines recently: masking; physical distancing; washing hands; cleaning facilities and improving ventilation; as well as contact tracing, isolation and quarantine.
And those could not have been implemented in the fall?
The reliance on science, the government funding and the ability of teachers to get vaccinated all please Becky Pringle, president of the National Education Association, the largest teachers union in the US. During the same CNN special, she said teachers "want nothing more than to be in-person with their students. That's how they were trained to teach, and work with them, and they miss them. They want to be back in person."

I do not believe this is close to the truth.
Wolf's and Theny's kids are already in school, IMO.
60 Minutes did a story on the Marietta, Georgia schools which have had in person learning since November.
The tone of the piece was just weird. "Sure, they did this, but the schools have resources other schools don't and it was hard work." "Also, two teachers gave Covid to kids, and 15 cases were traced to athletics"
Overall it seemed like the theme was, "Yeah, this school system did this and was lucky, but probably should not have in person learning"
It appears that they had no large outbreaks, and no teachers, students or staff were hospitalized.
Of course, they showed a teacher, in another school district, that had Covid and was on a ventilator for 40 days. She still has difficulty walking. No evidence presented that she contracted the disease from teaching in school.

The media is insane.
It’s a shame how scared half this country is because of Fauci, Gates and the Media
By the way in my little back and forth with a school board member they mentioned the bus driver who died of Covid. Sad? Sure. But they didn’t contract it from driving the bus. These people.

Democrats opposed everything Trump said early on, so they went all in on shutting things down, hoping it would help beat him and it did.
However, I think now it is in their best interest to open things up and get things moving, yet they refuse.
I am not sure of the end game, but I don't buy that they want to control America and take away all of our freedoms like you believe.
You don't think Papa Joe telling us that "small" gatherings MAY be permitted by July 4th is some sort of control? Some people are now conditioned to believe that's the right thing to do.
AND Fugly JENNINGS IS FUGLY!!!!! Awful White Female Liberal: Eat a dick kite

I don't get why he wants to do that. It just makes no sense.
Things that make me laugh on newscasts:
"Small gatherings with fully vaccinated people may be okay by July 4th"
"We want to make a plan to open schools safely"
"Perhaps soon it will be okay for fully vaccinated people to fly"
Everyone, including most politicians saying this, are already doing all of those things.
