Not sure if the story will ultimately be any good, but good lord, episode 1 of Fallout was so fucking good.
I usually don't get worked up about spoilers but I'm trying really hard to avoid them on this show. First 2 episodes were really good--they did a really good job with the 3 leads, some really funny parts and the show looks incredible. Love the tie-ins to the games, nice easter eggs but nothing that would require you to play the games to enjoy the show. 100% in on this one.
{Spoiler} I'm bummed that Michael Emerson is dead already--loved that guy in Lost.
I figured they were setting up the BoS reveal as a joke due to the voice modulation and whatnot, but I wasn't expecting Michael Rapaport to be the guy inside.
Moldaver doesn't match up age wise with the Ghoul's daughter, but I feel like that's part of the connection there.
Loved Dale Dickey's role. She shines in anything she is in. Definitely is on every casting agent's speed dial when they need a homely woman.
Really great first season, I've never in my life binged a season of a show as fast as I did with this one. Some of the flashbacks got a little slow at times but they paid off in the end, and the 3 main lead storylines all stayed pretty interesting throughout. Given that it's getting good buzz and they've already applied for tax credits to shoot in CA again, looks like season 2 is pretty much a lock to go. Spoiler thoughts below:
{Spoiler} I'm curious how Moldaver actually made it into the current timeline. I'm sure some kind of cyro but "flame mother" is an interesting moniker for her.
I got pretty pumped at the first "War...war never changes"
Lucy and the Ghoul really didn't spend much time paired up so it'll be interesting how they mesh in Season 2
I was wondering if they were going to make the reference, but a deathclaw skeleton followed by New Vegas was a hell of a way to end the season.
On that note, I'm surprised we never got any living deathclaws or any super mutants at all (except a mention in the vault brainstorming session).

Lucy is very bad at Fallout. When in the Super Duper Mart, she just ignored that bag of RadAway lying on the table even though she drank irradiated water earlier. Everyone knows when you secure a room, you have to loot every container, desk, filing cabinet, etc. Fucking vault dwellers.
Really damn good season. I'm tempted to replay 3 and New Vegas now.
I’m making another go at Vegas (just got to the outskirts of New Vegas for the first time). I suck so bad at these games, it took me like 5 false starts before I got into 3. I thought 4 was a little easier so I jumped into that one more quickly.
